Good to know
- UAE nationals receive end-of-service benefits under the pension law, not this formula. It also does not apply to government employees or domestic workers.
- Employees in the DIFC and ADGM are covered by those free zones' own employment laws.
- If your employer joined the voluntary alternative end-of-service scheme (Cabinet Resolution No. 96 of 2023), your benefit is paid from that fund instead.
- Your employer may deduct amounts you owe under the law or a court judgment, such as a loan balance.
- Your employer must pay your wages and gratuity within 14 days of the contract ending.
